North Carolina vs Connecticut College Football Picks, College Football Predictions & College Football Odds: The Big East and the ACC will clash tomorrow afternoon when the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Connecticut Huskies mix it up at Rentschler Field in Storrs, Connecticut. THe non-conference tilt is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET and will be broadcast live in ESPNU. Online bookmaker BetUS.com has the Tar Heels listed as a -4 against the spread road favorite in their College Football Picks. UConn started their season off with a nice road win, beating the Sophomore tailback Jordan Todman looked capable of filling Brown's shoes, at least against the Bobcats, leading the Huskies to a 386 to 247 yard advantage with a 25 carry, 157 yard performance. Frazer, who filled in for an injured Lorenzen last year, did not fare as well as Todman. The junior signal caller completed just 11 of his 24 pass attempts for 127 yards, and, despite two touchdowns tosses, he kept Ohio in the game by throwing three picks. The Huskies defense stepped up and held the Bobcats to just 61 yards rushing (1.9 yards per carry). Defensive lineman Lindsey Witten had a stand out game, recording two sacks and two tackles for loss in the victory. The No. 19 Tar Heels had an easy go of it in their first 2009 foray, whipping the Citadel 40-6 in Chapel Hill on Saturday. Butch Davis' troops built a 23-0 halftime lead and kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard until midway through the fourth quarter. Running backs Shaun Draughn and Ryan Houston led North Carolina on offense, combining for 163 yards on 26 carries. Houston also punched in short touchdown runs in both the second and third quarters. The Tar Heels closed out the day with 375 total yards, 261 of which came on the ground. The Citadel did not have the same kind of success against UNC's defense as the Bulldogs had 153 yards for the game and converted just two of their 16 third down opportunities. The Heels also forced four Citadel turnovers. College Football Picks Betting Trend: North Carolina is 6-1 against the spread and 7-0 straight up in their last eight games playing as a road favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5.
