TCU vs Virginia College Football Predictions, College Football Odds & College Football Picks: Texas Christian begins its 2009 season tomorrow in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Cavaliers will host the Horned Frogs for a 3:30pm ET kickoff at Scott Stadium. Virginia is coming off a 26-14 home loss to FCS school William & Mary. College Football Predictions at Sportsbetting.com have Gary Patterson's Frogs listed as a -11.5 against the spread favorite.

Texas Christian quitely had one of the best seasons in college TCU vs Virginia College Football Predictions, Odds & Picksfootball last year, going 11-2 and winning the Poinsettia Bowl 17-16 over Boise State. The Horned Frogs only two losses came at Oklahoma and at Utah. The loss to the Utes was particularly heartbreaking as TCU led with under a minute left to play and had a 416 to 275 yard advantage for the game.

Patterson's defense returns four starters from a unit that held opponents to an average of 11.2 points and 218 yards per game. The defensive line and linebacking corps still figure to be top notch, despite the loss of several NFL calibur players, and the secondary may well be the best in the country. None of that bodes well for a Cavaliers offense that managed just 14 points against the Tribe last weekend.

Offensively the Horned Frogs should be in fine shape too, returning starting quarterback Andy Dalton, lead rusher Joseph Turner, and top receivers Jimmy Young and Ryan Christian.

Virginia looked dreadful last Saturday in falling to William & Mary at Scott Stadium. The Tribe got the win inspite of having 12 penalites and converting just 25 percent of their third down opportunities.

Cavaliers senior quarterback Jameel Sewell completed 9-of-17 passes for just 80 yards and he threw three interceptions. Al Groh's team fumbled away any chance at victory by committing a ridiculous seven turnovers. Not surprisingly, the costly miscues led to a sub 300 yardage total and just 24:24 of ball possession.

If Virginia's performance tomorrow resembles any part of last week's showing, this game will be over at the half.
