2010 College Football Rankings Week 3: The 2010 college football Week 3 rankings from the Associated Press have been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0) retain hold on the top spot following their impressive 24-3 Week-2 victory over Penn State. Alabama covered the two-touchdown (-14) betting spread in the 21 point win. The Crimson Tide will travel to play Duke on Week-3 Saturday (Sept. 18) as 23-chalk favorites.
After an impressive 36-24 win over Miami (Fla.) Ohio State (2-0) remained at No. 2 in the 2010 College Football Rankings Week 3 behind Alabama. The Buckeyes covered the betting spread as an -8 point favorite. The Buckeyes' Week-3 opponent will be the Ohio Bobcats who will arrive in Columbus as -31 chalk underdogs.

Boise State (1-0), who had a bye in Week-2, holds the No. 3 spot in the AP Poll. The Broncos will continue road play in Week-3 when they go to Laramie, Wyo., to challenge the Wyoming Cowboys. BetUS.com lists the Broncos as 21-chalk favorites.
TCU (2-0) remained fourth following its 62-7 blasting of, FCS level school, Tennessee Tech in an unlined game. The Horned Frogs will welcome Baylor to Fort Worth on Saturday who come in as 17-point underdogs.
Oregon is soaring up the polls, jumping to fifth after their 48-13 road thumping of Tennessee in Knoxville. The Ducks easily covered the 11-chalk betting spread. The Ducks play a non-lined game in Week-3 against (FCS) Portland State.
AP Voters apparantely didn't think a 34-7 win over Wyoming was good enough for fifth ranked Texas (2-0) as they dropped the Longhorns to sixth in this weeks poll. The Longhorns, who are 0-2 ATS, begin BIG 12 play on the road by travelling to Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Horns are 3 1/2-chalk favorites in that one.
Oklahoma moved up three spots to No. 7 after destroying Florida State 47-17 as a 7-point favorite. The Sooners will host a confident Air Force team in Week-3. BetUS lists OU as 18-chalk favs in that one.
Nebraska (2-0) dropped two spots to eighth after failing to cover the 27 1/2 chalk versus Idaho on Saturday. However, they are 2-0 SU after their 38-17 victory. In Week-3 the Cornhuskers take to the road to play the Washington Huskies, lined as 4-point favorites.
Iowa remained in ninth following its 35-7 win over in-state rival Iowa State on Saturday. The Hawkeyes covered ATS as 13 1/2-chalk favorites. Iowa travels to play at Arizona in Week-3. BetUS oddsmakers opened betting with the Hawkeyes as 1-point favorites.
For the second straight week, the Florida Gators dropped in the polls, falling to 10th, after winning their game. After struggling in a close win over Miami-Ohio in Week-1, the Gators rebounded by defeating South Florida 38-14, and covering as a 14 1/2 favorite. Florida will head to Knoxville in Week-3 to play the Tennessee Volunteers in their first SEC action of 2010. Florida is lined as 16 1/2-chalk favs for that one.
Wisconsin is 11th followed by Arkansas, South Carolina, Utah and LSU. Auburn jumps up to 16th followed by Miami(Fl), USC, Stanford, and Michigan, who at 20, are making their first appearance in the poll. West Virginia is ranked in the 21st spot followed by Penn State, Houston, Arizona and Oregon State. Houston and Arizona are making their 2010 AP Poll debuts.
