Air Force Falcons vs Oklahoma Sooners (-18): Air Force made a big statement over the weekend, drubbing conference rival
BYU 35-14 in Colorado. The Falcons trailed in the first quarter, but rallied to a 21-14 halftime lead and never looked back. Troy Calhoun's squad finished the game with 409 rush yards in 65 carries for a 6.3 yards per carry average. It is no secret that the Falcons will attempt to do the same thing against the Sooners this weekend in Norman, but they may have a more difficult time pulling it off. Oklahoma rebounded from a lackluster performance against Utah State by smashing Florida State 47-17, posting 487 total yards while limiting the Seminoles to 345 yards and 14 first downs.
Air Force is a quality team, and, in this writer's opinion, is better equipped to deal with the Sooners than Florida State; however, they will be outmanned against Bob Stoops' team on Saturday.
Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Washington Huskies (+4.5): Nebraska is off to an impressive 2-0 start after receiving a great deal of hype heading into the season. The offense has led the way in victories over Western Kentucky and Idaho, averaging 43.5 points per game. The catalyst has been new quarterback Taylor Martinez, a relative unknown outside of Lincoln prior the team's win over the Hilltoppers. Martinez has looked Eric Crouch like thus far, rushing for 284 yards and five touchdowns (13.5 yards per carry) in his first two starts. The Huskers, of course, also have a quarterback to worry about as Washington's Jake Locker has thrown for 555 yards and five touchdowns through the first two games of the season. Locker was prolific last weekend in the Huskies meeting with Syracuse (four touchdowns), helping Washington route the Orange 41-20 to even its record at 1-1.
