Cincinnati vs North Carolina State 2010 College Football Picks, 2010 College Football Odds & 2010 College Football Predictions: Cincinnati and North Carolina State open week three of the college football season tomorrow night with a showdown in Raleigh, North Carolina. The game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET at Carter-Finley Stadium; the non-conference contest will be broadcast live on ESPN. 2010 College Football Picks, Odds & Predictions at SBGglobal.com have the Wolfpack listed as a -2 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 55.
Cincinnati did not get the post-Brian Kelly era off to a good start, losing its season opener 14-28 at Fresno State. The
Bearcats managed just 234 yards of offense and averaged a pathetic 0.5 yards per carry in the loss. The team rebounded last Saturday, though, with a 40-7 win over Indiana State at Nippert Stadium.
Quarterback Zach Collaros completed 11-of-17 passes for 130 yards and he connected on touchdown strikes of 16 and 29 yards with wideout Armon Binns. The ground game also bounced back, despite the absence of star running back Isaiah Pead (sore knee), gaining 263 yards at a 5.8 yards per carry rate.
North Carolina State improved to 2-0 over the weekend with a 28-21 win on the road against Central Florida. The Wolfpack did not exactly play well in the victory as quarterback Russell Wilson completed just 10 of his 30 pass attempts for 105 yards and the team as a whole posted just 239 yards of offense. However, the defense held the Knights in check, limiting UCF to 308 yards and 1-of-11 on third down while forcing five turnovers.
North Carolina State led 28-7 in the third quarter after an interception return for a touchdown by C.J. Wilson, but nearly saw its three touchdown advantage evaporate in the fourth after the Knights scored on touchdown runs of six and one yards.
Despite his pedestrian outing against UCF, Wilson should be the key in tonight's game. The junior passer, who earned first team All ACC honors as a freshman, has thrown five touchdowns this season to zero interceptions, giving him a career 53 to 12 ratio.
2010 College Football Picks Betting Trend: The Bearcats are 1-5 straight up and against the spread over the last five years playing as an underdog with a game total of 54 or more.
