College Football Picks 2012 Week 3

florida state manuelCollege Football Picks 2012 Week 3 finds No. Florida State looking to climb a little bit higher on the ladder as it takes on ACC Atlantic rival Wake Forest at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The most recent College Football Spreads have the Seminoles listed as a -27.5 against the spread home favorite, indicating Jimbo Fisher’s crew should avoid another upset at the hands of the Demon Deacons.

Wake Forest vs No. 5 Florida State (-27.5): The Seminoles had huge expectations going into their 2011 campaign, but three straight losses early in the season crippled their BCS hopes. The most unlikely of those setbacks came on October 8th when FSU, playing as a 10 point road favorite, lost 30-35 to Wake Forest. The Seminoles out-gained the Demon Deacons 425 to 391, but 13 penalties and five turnovers (Wake had zero) led to the stunning conclusion. The fact that Florida State still managed to post more yards, despite a -5 turnover margin for the game, and still stay within five points of the Deacons in Winston-Salem says everything we need to know about the gap between these two teams. Yes, Wake Forest pulled off another upset last weekend, beating North Carolina 28-27 at home, but FSU, a College Football Picks favorite to contend for a BCS title, exacts revenge in this one and in a big way. Hide the women and children, it is going to get ugly in Tallahassee.
