College Football Picks: Louisville Cardinals vs. Kansas State Wildcats; Betting Line,KSU -4 (total 55.5); Kickoff 8 p.m. ET; Television, ESPN2; Papa John's Stadium, Louisville, Kentucky.

The Kansas State University football team , known for scheduling weak non-conference opponents, is stepping out of its comfort zone by traveling to play the University of Louisville Cardinals in a rare Wednesday night (8 PM ET) affair at Papa John’s Stadium in Louisville, Ky. Oddsmakers at online sportsbook LooseLines.com have installed KSU the favorite by a 4-point chalk with a 55 total.

In the early going this season, the Wildcats have amassed a 2-0 SU and 1-0 ATS record while the Cardinals are 1-1 SU and 0-1 ATS.

Louisville opened its season on the road at Kentucky losing 27-2 followed by a 51-10 win in Week-2 over FCS Tennessee Tech.

Kansas State faced the usual lineup of cup-cakes in its two early games pounding North Texas 45-6 in its opener followed by a lopsided win over FCS Montana State 69-10 in Week-2.

Both Louisville and Kansas State had a bye in Week-3 to prepare for the early week match-up tonight.

The Wildcats are averaging 57.0 points per game behind one of the top passing offenses in the country. Led by junior quarterback Josh Freeman, the Wildcats are averaging 305.0 yards through the air in two games. He's completing 75.6 percent of his throws and has already tossed five touchdown passes.

Defensively, Kansas State is allowing just 8.0 points per game and just 198.0 yards of total offense.

After scoring two points in a loss to Kentucky on Aug. 31, Louisville exploded for the third-highest point total in coach Steve Kragthorpe's tenure against Tennessee Tech. Redshirt freshman Victor Anderson rushed for a career-high 114 yards on just 12 carries, including his first collegiate touchdown. Senior Hunter Cantwell was 15-of-23 for 203 yards and two scores and was mistake-free after throwing three interceptions against UK.

College Football Pick: I see this game as a pick so I’ll go with the Cardinals at home +4. I consider this game as a high risk play on either side because the jury is still out on both teams.
