Air Force also turned in an impressive week two performance, beating conference rival BYU 35-14 at Falcon Stadium. Troy Calhoun's troops trailed 14-7 in the first quarter, but rallied to a 21-14 halftime lead after second quarter touchdown runs of 5 and 33 yards.
The Falcons finished the game with 22 first downs (converted 10-of-19 on third down) and 409 rush yards (477 total yards). Junior tailback Asher Clark led the way on the ground, rushing 18 times for 121 yards.
Air Force's defense, which limited its opposition to an average of 15.7 points per game last year, held BYU to 309 yards. The Falcons also forced three turnovers, which led to a 14 minute time of possession advantage.
