Cal vs Nevada 2010 College Football Predictions: The University of California Golden Bears football team will trek over the Sierra Nevada's to play the upstart Nevada Wolf Pack (WAC) in a college football game at Mackay Stadium in Reno in an ESPN televised game at 10 pm ET.
My take on Nevada is – they don't win many games when playing good teams. California is a good team. I was all onboard the Nevada wagon to begin the season last year when they opened on the road at Notre Dame in South Bend. I thought winning SU would be difficult but they were getting some respect by pundits and I thought they would keep it close. Hardly, unless getting beat 35-0 is close. The Wolf Pack returned to Reno to play its home opener two weeks later with Missouri. What a great opportunity to redeem themselves from the Notre Dame debacle. Wrong- Mizzou won 31-21. After Notre Dame and Missouri, the Pack reeled off eight straight wins against WAC fluf before playing another good team in Boise State to end the regular season. The Bronco's handled Nevada as expected. Nevada got an invite to the Hawai'i Bowl where they lost to a good SMU team by 35 points.
Reno Gold's pick: I will continue to go against Nevada in big games against BCS foe until they can show me they can win the games. History shows me they won't. Cal is my play -2 1/2.
