Ken Niumatalolo's Midshipmen improved to 1-1 last Saturday, beating Louisiana Tech 32-14 at Navy Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Navy stuck to their usual offensive game plan and ran the ball 69 times for 290 yards against the Bulldogs for a 4.9 yards per carry average.

Sophomore running back Marcus Curry led the team in rushing with 124 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. Dobbs added 47 yards on 25 carries and he punched the ball into the endzone on two occasions.
The Middies defense stymied Louisiana Tech the entire game, holding the Bulldogs to just 167 total yards. Tech managed just 11 rush yards (0.6 yards per carry), which helped lead to a 41:11 to 18:49 time of possession advantage for Navy.
Pittsburgh comes into tomorrow's game with a 2-0 record after beating Youngstown State and Buffalo. Wannstedt's Panthers went to Buffalo last weekend and took out the Bulls 54-27.

Quarterback Bill Stull had a great game, completing 21-of-30 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns. He was complimented by running back Dion Lewis, who had 24 carries for 190 yards and two touchdowns.
