Ohio State's 2009 season is off to a rocky start, much like last year, after a narrow win over Navy in week one and a loss at home last weekend to the USC Trojans. The Buckeyes looked to be in control against USC, but a late 14 play, 86 yard touchdown drive put the Trojans on top for good as they went on to win 18-15. Prior to that drive, Pete Carroll's squad had produced just 227 total yards against Ohio State's defense. 

Ohio State's offense had all kinds of issues against the Trojans, manufacturing just 265 yards and converting four of their 13 third down opportunities. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor had little impact on the game, completing 11-of-25 passes for 177 yards and an interception. He also had 10 carries for a meager 36 yards.

The Buckeye's might need a little more production this week too as the Rockets are averaging 42.5 points and 558.5 yards per game through two contests.

Toledo evened their record at 1-1 last Friday night, beating the beleagured Colorado Buffaloes 54-38 at the Glass Bowl in Toledo, Ohio. The Rockets wasted no time putting the Buffs in a hole as they barreled their way to a 23-3 halftime lead. 

Quarterback Aaron Opelt starred for Toledo, completing 15-of-23 passes for 319 yards and four touchdowns while rushing eight times for 109 yards and two touchdowns.

Tim Beckman's squad finished the day with 624 yards of offense, topping the 300 yard mark both through the air and on the ground. The first year coach watched his defense struggle once again, though, as the Rockets gave up 451 yards to Colorado. However, Toledo was opportunistic, recovering a fumble and picking off Cody Hawkins three times.

College Football Picks Betting Trend: The Buckeyes are 0-2 against the spread and 2-0 straight up playing as a road favorite with a total of 54.5 or more. The Under is 2-0 in those games.
