Ohio State vs. Troy College Football Predictions: Betting Line, Ohio State -20 ½ (Total 46 ½); television BTN; kickoff Sat., Sep.20, Noon ET; Ohio Stadium, Columbus, Ohio. Odds provided by Sportsbook.com.
After thoroughly getting mashed 35-3 by the USC Trojans in Week-3 as an 11-point underdog, the Ohio State Buckeyes must face another team that calls itself Troy. This time OSU is giving three touchdowns as a home favorite in Columbus, Ohio against the Troy University Trojans. In the minds of the uninformed this game appears to be a pushover. Keep in mind that Troy is probably the best team in the Sun Belt Conference, a league already credited with a couple of BCS notches in its belt this year. Earlier Arkansas State stunned Texas A&M at College Station, and Middle Tennessee knocked off Maryland in a home game. If the Buckeyes have any hangover from last weeks loss at USC, these Trojans from Alabama could be trouble for a Buckeyes squad that already has had their confidence shaken.
This game will be the first between Troy and the first between Ohio State and any other team from the Sun Belt Conference.
Under Jim Tressel, the Buckeyes are 22-1 at Ohio Stadium versus non-conference teams, the
only loss coming 25-22 to No. 2 Texas in 2005.
Word out is that Ohio State will be trying out a two quarterback system today by inserting prized recruit Tyrell Pryor into the game. According to reports, running back Beanie Wells will not play today.
Prediction: Buckeyes will rebound with a win and cover +20 1/2.
