Bronco Mendenhall's squad had just 17 first downs and 191 total yards for the game while averaging a paltry 3.3 yards per pass and 2.2 yards per rush.
Freshman quarterback Jake Heaps did not throw any interceptions against FSU, but he was ineffective moving the team, completing 15-of-31 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown. Heaps will need a far superior effort tomorrow if he hopes to match points with Kaepernick and the high powered Wolf Pack.
