Virginia Tech vs Boston College 2010 College Football Picks: The Virginia Tech Hokies will be looking to pick up their second win on the young 2010 college football season Saturday when they play the Boston College Eagles in a crucial ACC battle for both schools. The same goes for BC as they defend home turf at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
Sportsbook.com lists the Hokies as 4-chalk road favorites versus the Eagles with a 47 1/2 game total. BC backers are getting +165 moneyline odds as a home underdog while VT is giving -190.
It already seems that Virginia Tech has played a full season, and as emotional roller coasters go, they just about have. As we all know, the Hokies lost a heartbreaker to Boise State on national television in the season opener. Apparantly VT had problems moving past that loss and fell to James Madison, a school from the Football Champinship Subdivision the next week. Week-3 didn't start off too good for the Hokies as they fell behind to East Carolina early. However, the old Hokies rallied, storming past the Pirates for a 49-27 victory, their first of the season.
Boston College has hardly been challenged to this point, as they sit 2-0 after games with FCS level Weber State, winning 38-20 in a non-lined game, and winning 26-14 versus Kent State of the MAC. Both Weber State and Kent State are inferior programs to Boston College but seemed to hang around in the games.
Virginia Tech is the play for this game giving the points. I think they have found their mo-jo after a slow start. VT -4.
