Arkansas vs Alabama College Football Odds, College Football Picks & College Football Predictions: The Arkansas Razorbacks lost their first conference game, falling at home last weekend to the Georgia Bulldogs. Now Bobby Petrino's squad must face the No. 3 Crimson Tide at Bryan-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The game between the two SEC West rivals kicks off at 3:30pm ET today and will be broadcast live on CBS. The Razorbacks did plenty of things right on offense last weekend, but their defense could not control the Dawgs, despite Arkansas, which is 1-1 entering today's game, finished the day with 485 yards and 17 first downs. Quarterback Ryan Mallet completed 21-of-39 passes for 408 yards and five touchdowns in the loss. Mallet teamed up with fellow sophomore's Greg Childs and Jarius Wright to do most of the damage to the Bulldogs secondary. Childs caught five passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns while Wright had four catches for 108 yards and a score. Georgia abused the Razorbacks defense for 20 first downs and 530 total yards. Joe Cox looked like the second coming of Matthew Stafford or Ryan Mallet, take your pick, throwing for 375 yards and five touchdowns. The Tide rolled up North Texas 53-7 last Saturday in Tuscaloosa, improving their record to 3-0. Alabama had its way on offense against the Mean Green, pounding out 28 first downs and 523 yards. The attack was well balanced as both the running and passing games racked up over 260 yards. Junior quarterback Greg McElroy was Mr. Efficiency, completing 13-of-15 passes for 176 yards and two touchdown tosses. McElroy was one of four Alabama players to have a rushing touchdown. Three Tide running backs had over 75 yards rushing in the win, led by junior Terry Grant, who carried the ball 19 times for 79 yards and two scores. Nick Saban's defense reduced the North Texas offense to the Meek Green as Todd Dodge's squad had just seven first downs and 187 yards for the game.
