No. 15 TCU improved to 2-0 last week, pounding the Texas State Bobcats 56-21 at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. The Horned Frogs racked up 28 first downs and 508 yards in the easy win. Quarterback Andy Dalton completed 18 of his 24 pass attempts for 222 yards and a touchdown while running back Joseph Turner had 129 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.

TCU's defense, which has been one of the best in the country over the past couple of seasons, held the Bobcats to 249 yards. Last year the unit had one of the top rush defenses in the nation, limiting opponents to an average of 47 yards per game. Through two games this season, they have allowed just 86 rush yards.

Clemson bounced back from a 27-30 loss at Georgia Tech by pasting Boston College 25-7 last Saturday at Clemson Memorial Stadium. The victory improved the Tigers to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in conference action. 

Dabo Swinney's offense did not impress in the dismantling of the Eagles, amassing just 253 yards, but running back C.J. Spiller did. Spiller had 17 carries for 77 yards, but his work on special teams changed the game. The Florida native had three punt returns for a total of 113 yards and he took one back 77 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

Clemson's defense embarassed BC, holding the Eagles lackluster offense to just 54 yards, four first downs, and one third down conversion. The Tigers also picked off freshman quarterback Justin Tuggle three times.
