Washington vs Stanford College Football Picks, College Football Odds & College Football Predictions: The Washington Huskies and the Stanford Cardinal will battle it out tonight in Stanford, California as each squad looks to go 2-0 in Pac-10 play. The Huskies moved to No. 24 in the rankings this week after upsetting USC 16-13 in Seattle, but it is the Cardinal who are favored in this evening's match up. Stanford, like Washington, improved to 2-1 last week after beating San Jose State 42-17 at Stanford Stadium. The Cardinal won big in spite of turning the ball over four times and committing nine penalties. They did so by pounding the ball on the ground for 211 yards (5.3 yards per carry) and converting five of their 10 third down opportunities.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Andrew Luck completed 9-of-12 passes for 170 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Running back Toby Gerhart, as he usually does, carried the team with a 24 carry, 113 yard, two touchdown showing. Gerhart now has 316 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

The Cardinal defense held the Spartans to 228 total yards and reduced their rushing attack to a 0.9 yard per carry average.
