Who would have thought, looking at college football week 5 odds, the Washington versus Notre Dame football game would be a big deal. College football pundits and Irish faithful alike have long since had this weeks college football week 5 odds game with Washington circled as a probable win. Those perceptions changed when the Huskies defeated USC in week 4. Notre Dame, who has other tough 2009 matchups with Pac 10 members Stanford and USC, probably never expected Washington to be one of its more difficult games. After all, going 0-for-12 in 2008, certainly didn’t make the Huskies appear to be a dangerous blip on the Irish radar screen.
