The third ranked Crimson Tide looked as good as any team in the nation last Saturday as they smoked the Arkansas Razorbacks 35-7 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Nick Saban's team held a talented Hogs squad to 254 total yards and just two third down conversions in 26:24. Quarterback Ryan Mallet, who threw five touchdown passes against Georgia a couple of weeks ago, completed just 12-of-35 passes for 160 yards, one touchdown, and an interception versus the Tide. Arkansas managed just 63 rush yards in the loss and averaged a meager 2.4 yards per carry.

Alabama's offense racked up 425 yards thanks to a stellar performance from signal caller Greg McElroy. McElroy completed 17-of-24 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns. He has now thrown seven touchdowns this year to just one interception. Freshman running back Trent Richardson complimented McElroy's effort with a nine carry, 65 yard outing. Richardson broke off a 52 yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give Alabama a 7-0 lead.

The schedule making gods did not do the Wildcats any favors, giving the team back-to-back games against Florida and Alabama. Kentucky got railroaded by the Gators last weekend, losing 41-7 at home to Urban Meyer's top ranked squad. The Wildcats, which enter Saturday's game with a 2-1 record, were stonewalled by Florida's defense, producing a total of 179 yards and 11 first downs in the lopsided defeat. Quarterback Mike Hartline had a horrendous performance, completing 13-of-28 passes for 85 yards, a touchdown, and two picks.

The Gators had their way against Kentucky's defense, posting 495 yards and 25 first downs in the beat down. Quarterback Tim Tebow, who left the game in the second half after suffering a concussion, threw just 10 passes, but he rushed 16 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Florida, as a team, rushed for 362 yards at 7.0 yards per clip.
