Quarterback Jake Heaps, who has a miserable 91.79 passer rating through four games, completed 24-of-45 passes for 229 yards in the loss. The ground game did not help the freshman signal caller either, accounting for 91 yards on 25 carries (3.6 ypc).
Utah also comes into this non-conference tilt with a 1-3 tally after suffering losses to Oklahoma, Fresno State, and San Diego State. The Aggies had been competitive until last week's meeting with the Aztecs at Qualcomm Stadium, where they lost 41-7.
Utah State's offense managed just 14 first downs and 245 total yards in the setback as quarterback Diondre Borel threw for 130 yards and one interception on 31 pass attempts.
The defense, which is yielding 32.5 points per game, saw the Aztecs rack up 504 yards, 362 of which came through the air, in just over 31 minutes of possession time.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Cougars are 7-0 straight up and 5-2 against the spread as a road favorite with a total between 51.5 and 54 (Over 6-1).
