Texas vs Oklahoma 2010 College Football Predictions, 2010 College Football Picks & 2010 College Football Odds: Big 12 South adversaries Texas and Oklahoma meet tomorrow in the annual Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The highly anticipated neutral site affair is scheduled to get underway at 3:30pm ET on ABC. 2010 College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds at Bodog.com have the Sooners listed as a -4 against the spread favorite; the Over/Under is set at 45.
Coming into this game both teams have been somewhat of a disappointment, despite the fact that they have a combined
record of 7-1. Oklahoma, which is presently ranked eighth in the AP Poll, has garnered wins over Utah State, Florida State, Air Force, and Cincinnati. While that non-conference lineup is impressive, many expected the Sooners to be more dominant in victory. The Seminoles were the only team that suffered any embarrassment at the hands of Bob Stoops' squad, though.
Oklahoma fans, or those who expected more out of the Sooners in terms of margin of victory, are probably nitpicking; however, after last weekend's meltdown against UCLA, the Longhorn faithful have some legitimate complaints.
Texas got drilled 34-12 on its home turf by Rick Neuheisel's troops as the Bruins ran over what had been the strength of the team. UCLA amassed 264 rush yards and controlled the clock for 35:49, effectively neutralizing Garret Gilbert and the Longhorns floundering offense.
A sour performance against Oklahoma tomorrow and Texas could be staring at 3-3 with a road trip to Lincoln next on the docket.
This heated rivalry has been one of streaks and of late, the Longhorns have gotten the better of things, winning four of the last five. However, prior to Texas' recent run, the Sooners won five in a row both straight up and against the spread, besting Mack Brown's squad by an average of 27 points per game.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: Oklahoma is 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread over the last five seasons playing as a favorite coming off of back-to-back against the spread losses.
