Through four games the Hokies have failed to produce any sort of awe factor, but regardless of how good they may or may Clemson vs Virginia Tech Line 2011not have looked, the fact remains that Frank Beamer's troops are undefeated. Virginia Tech's latest triumph came last Saturday in a 30-10 win at Marshall.

The Hokies jumped out to a 13-0 lead and put it in cruise control the rest of the way as they posted 444 total yards to the Thundering Herd's 251. Sophomore quarterback Logan Thomas completed 22-of-33 passes for 229 yards and one interception in the win while running backs David Wilson and Josh Oglesby combined for 207 rush yards and three touchdowns. That same trio may find the Tigers defense to its liking later today as Clemson ranks 85th and 73rd in the FBS against the run and pass, respectively. The No. 13 Tigers offense may present the Hokies with some problems, though.

Clemson is averaging 502.8 yards and 37.8 points per game and it posted 26 first downs and 443 total yards last week in a 35-30 win over Florida State. The weekend prior the Seminoles held Oklahoma's high powered offense to 310 yards.

Sophomore signal caller Tajh Boyd, a Hampton, Virginia native, poses the biggest threat to the Hokies defense. Boyd has pieced together a fantastic season thus far, throwing for 1255 yards (66.2 completion percentage) and 13 touchdowns while accounting for just one interception.

Virginia Tech has won five in a row in this series and they have won the last two in Blacksburg by an average of 18.5 points per game; however, this year's Tigers team appears to have enough offensive weapons to give the Hokies a real challenge.
