The Indiana Hoosiers, who were unable to "Defend the Rock" this past Saturday, will take their 2-2 record north this weekend to face the Golden Gophers in Minnesota. Minnesota has managed to turn things around in the early going this year, already besting last season's win total by three games. Last week Minnesota suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Gophers had a fourth quarter rally to bring the final in at 21-34, but they could not overcome three turnovers and a running game that produced just  81 yards.

While the passing game has been Minnesota's strong suit this year , it has been greatly aided by a145.8 yard per game ground attack. The Gophers will need that element of their offense to rebound in order to secure a win against the Hoosiers.

Indiana was also bit by the turnover bug last weekend. They gave the ball to Michigan State three times in their 42-29 loss at home. Had it not been for that, the Hoosiers could have easily pulled off the upset against the Spartans as they amassed 473 yards of offense and averaged 6.8 yards per carry on the ground. If they can eliminate the turnovers this weekend they have a good chance to take the Gophers to the wire in Minneapolis.
