The Maryland Terrapins moved to 4-1 on Saturday with an upset 20-17 win at Clemson. This weekend Maryland will make the short jaunt to Charlottesville to face the Cavaliers of Virginia. College football betting odds at Sportsbook.com have the Terrapins as a -13.5 road favorite. Maryland, other than a road loss to Middle Tennessee State, is having a great year. Ralph Friedgen's team has wins over two top 20 teams , at least at the time they played them, in California and Clemson. The Terps were not statistically dominant against the Tigers, but they were able to move the ball on the ground and they also forced three turnovers. They will be looking for more opportunism this weekend against a Cavaliers team that has shown a propensity for coughing up the football. Virgina had an outstanding 9-4 season last year, but they have had little of that success carry over to 2008. Al Groh's Cavaliers are just 1-3 and they have been blown out by USC, Conneticut, and Duke. They will need an inspired effort to take out the Terrapins this weekend, even at home. Virginia is averaging just 9 points per game while allowing 32 points per game. They are also averaging 3.5 turnovers per contest. College Football Betting Trends: The Under is 11-3 the last five years when the Terps played coming off back to back wins.
