North Carolina State enters today's game with a 3-1 record. The Wolfpack garnered their third straight win last weekend, beating Pittsburgh 38-31 at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tom O'Brien's club trailed the Panthers 31-17 in the third quarter, but scored 21 unanswered points to get the seven point victory. The Wolfpack offense, led by quarterback Russell Wilson, amassed 530 yards and 27 first downs against Pitt's defense.

Wilson was unstoppable, completing 21-of-35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran 10 times for 91 yards. Running back Toney Baker lent a big hand to his signal caller, rushing 18 times for 81 yards and a score. Moreover Baker led the team in receiving with three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown.

The Wolfpack defense held the Panthers to 300 yards, 11 first downs, and two third down conversions on the day.

Wake Forest fell to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in ACC action last Saturday, losing at Alumni Stadium to Boston College by a score of 27-24. The Demon Deacons trailed by 14 with under five minutes to play, but quarterback Riley Skinner threw two late touchdown strikes to send the game into overtime. Wake fumbled their lone possession in the extra frame and BC got a game winning 23 yard field goal from place kicker Steve Aponavicius.

The Demon Deacons had 496 yards and 21 first downs against the Eagles D, but were undone by 10 penalties and and three turnovers. Skinner finished the day 25-of-35 with 354 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

College Football Predictions Betting Trend: Wake Forest is 1-4 against the spread and straight up in their last five games as a home favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5 versus an ACC opponent.
