Oklahoma vs. Miami College Football Picks: The old saying is, if you want to win a BCS national championship you had better not lose twice. That is what both No. 8 (AP) Oklahoma and No. 17 Miami face when they play at Land Shark Stadium in Miami. Both Oklahoma and Miami have one loss on their records and another would spell doom for either schools national title hopes. There has been much speculation as to Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford's status for today's game. Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said Thursday that Landry Jones will start against the Hurricanes. Jones, a redshirt freshman who took over for Bradford after he sustained a shoulder sprain in Oklahoma's opening-week loss against BYU, has thrown nine touchdown passes and three interceptions. The series is tied 3-3 with the Sooners winning the last meeting in 2007, 51-13. The Hurricanes are 2-1 against the Sooners in games played in Miami, which includes a 20-14 win in the 1988 Orange Bowl for Miami's second national title. This will be the first meeting in Miami between the two schools since the 1988 Orange Bowl.
