Kentucky has Heisman Trophy candidate Andre Woodson throwing it all over the field while the Gamecocks have the old ball coach Steve Spurrier and the nation’s top ranked passing defense. South Carolina head coach Spurrier is 14-0 all-time against Kentucky. "We just have to continue to earn respect," Woodson said. "We have to really do a great job of coming away with a lot more wins. That way teams take you a lot more seriously and they accept you as one of the better teams in the conference." Woodson is second in the conference in passing yards with 261.8 per game. He has 16 TD’s and just one interception. "For me, honestly, I really don't care about winning the Heisman at all," Woodson said. "I'm just very concerned about us trying to win games. That means so much more to me."

The Wildcats lead the conference in scoring at more than 46 points a game. "We've got to stay on the field, make some first downs and make some third downs like we've been doing to give ourselves a chance," Spurrier said.
