Nebraska vs Missouri College Football Odds, Picks & Predictions: The Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Missouri Tigers open their conference seasons tonight at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri. Nebraska will attempt to regain its spot as the top dog in the Big 12 North by taking out two-time defending division champion Missouri. Of course, the Huskers will be seeking a little revenge as well after the 52-17 beat down the Tigers put on them last year in Lincoln. No Missouri team had ever scored that many points against Nebraska. Kickoff in this conference rivalry is set for 9:00pm ET on ESPN. College Football Odds at Sportsbetting.com have the Huskers listed as a -3.5 against the spread road favorite.

The No. 21 Cornhuskers enter tonight's contest with a 3-1 record. Bo Pelini's squad last played on September 26th when Nebraska vs Missouri College Football Odds, Picks & Predictionsthey took out the Rajun Cajuns of Louisiana Lafayette 55-0 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Newcomer Zac Lee continued his solid quarterback play in the shutout, completing 15-of-18 passes for 238 yards and a touchdown. The Huskers rushing attack, which is averaging 183.8 yards per game this season, took a back seat to the passing game in the easy win, accumulating only 133 yards. Running back Roy Helu Jr., who has totaled 464 yards this season in just 73 carries, led the team with 15 rushes for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

The victory was a nice bounce-back heading into conference play after the heart-breaking 15-16 loss Pelini and his troops suffered at the hands of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Nebraska had more first downs, more total yards, and more rush yards than the Hokies, but Frank Beamer's team scored the go-ahead touchdown with just 00:21 left in the game. The Huskers took points of the board earlier in the contest as a result of a penalty and they also had two costly turnovers.

The Tigers are off to a somewhat sursprising 4-0 start in a year many expected to be a rebuilding one. Gary Pinkel and his staff saw the departure of six NFL Draft picks as well as their record setting quarterback, Chase Daniel. Still, despite their unblemished record, many are wondering just how good these Tigers are. Missouri pounded an Illinois team in the opener that now looks to be a total bust and then they were almost taken out at home by a 1-4 Bowling Green squad. They will have the opportunity to quiet any naysayers with a win over Nebraska this evening.

Mizzou beat Nevada in their latest action, which took place on Friday September 25th in Reno, by a score of 31-21. The Tigers offense, led by sophomore quarterback Blaine Gabbert, was impressive, as it has been most of the season (36.8 points and 453 yards per game), racking up almost 500 yards against the overmatched Wolf Pack. Gabbert completed 25-of-40 passes for 414 yards and three touchdowns in the win. On the season, Gabbert has thrown for 1161 yards (66.7 completion percentage) and 11 touchdowns; he has yet to throw an interception and he has been sacked just four times.

Game Analysis: Missouri's defense is giving up an average of 15.5 points and 351.8 yards per game compared to 7 and 284.5 for the Huskers. The Tigers have not ran the ball that well this season and they will need to continue their solid pass protection if they are unable to get the ground game going against an extremely tough Ndamukong Suh led Husker front seven. This will be Gabbert's biggest game to date. The sophomore has been brilliant thus far but he has not faced a defense as good as the one the Cornhuskers will trot out tonight. If he can maintian his composure, the Tigers have a good chance to win. Conversely, this will also be the biggest game of Zac Lee's career, at least thus far. Yes, he has been tested against a top 20 team on the road, but that was not a conference nor rivalry game. He will have to ignore any pressure he might feel in regard to making up for last year's blowout loss to Mizzou, a game which he did not even participate in.

College Football Odds Betting Trend: The Over is 6-0 in Missouri's last six games as an underdog with a spread between 51.5 and 54. Nebraska is 0-3 straight up and against the spred in their last three visits to Columbia.
