Louisiana Tech vs Nevada College Football Odds, College Football Predictions & College Football Picks: The Nevada Wolf Pack welcome the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to Mackay Stadium in Reno tonight for a primetime WAC showdown. The Bulldogs will be looking to improve to 2-0 in conference play, but this evening's game will be the first league contest of the season for the Wolf Pack. Kickoff is set for 9:00pm ET on ESPN. College Football Odds at Bodog.com have Nevada listed as a -10.5 against the spread home favorite. Louisiana Tech enters tonight's game with a 2-2 overall record and a 1-0 mark in conference action. The Bulldogs scored Tech ran the ball 57 for an average of 6.2 yards per carry. Senior running back Daniel Portor led the team with 25 rush attempts for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Freshman Tyrone Duplessis added 75 yards on 14 carries and he also led the team in receiving with four catches for 42 yards. The Bulldogs defense held Hawaii without a touchdown, a feat that had not been accomphlished in 62 games. The Warriors finished the night with 17 first downs and 301 total yards. The Wolf Pack got their first win of the season last Saturday and they took out the frustrations of their 0-3 start on an unsuspecting UNLV squad, routing the Rebels 63-28 in Reno. Nevada posted some staggering offensive numbers as it accumulated 773 total yards and 32 first downs. The Wolf Pack converted all seven of the third down situations they encountered and they rushed for 559 yards at 10.2 yards per clip. They did all of that inspite of having 15 penalties and four turnovers. Chris Ault's troops really opened the flood gates in the fourth quarter as they scored five touchdowns in the final frame. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 15-of-18 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown and he was one of three Wolf Pack players to rush for over 170 yards. Freshman tailback Mike Ball led the ground assualt with a 15 carry, 184 yard, five touchdown performance. The Rebels, who had the game tied 21-21 at halftime, managed 25 first downs and 346 totals yards against the Wolf Pack's defense. Not bad numbers, but not near enough to keep up with the second half offensive onslaught Nevada threw at them. their first WAC win of the season on September 30th when they took out the Hawaii Warriors 27-6 in Ruston, Louisiana. Derek Dooley's squad played some old-fashioned, smashmouth football in dispatching the Warriors, racking up 26 first downs and producing 449 yards, 352 of which came on the ground.
