USC vs Stanford 2010 College Football Predictions, 2010 College Football Picks & 2010 College Football Odds: USC and Stanford square off tonight in a Pac 10 showdown at Stanford Stadium in Palo Alto, California. The two teams, both of which are coming off conference losses, are scheduled to take the field at 8:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on ABC. 2010 College Football Predictions, Picks & Odds at online bookmaker SBGglobal.com have the Cardinal listed as a -9.5 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 59.5.
USC suffered its first loss under new Head Coach Lane Kiffin last weekend as Steve Sarkisian's Washington Huskies went
into the Coliseum and scored a 32-31 victory. The Trojans had plenty of offense in the loss, racking up 26 first downs and 484 yards, including 298 on the ground, but the production proved too little.
Running back Allen Bradford ran roughshod over the Huskies defense, amassing 223 yards and two touchdowns in 21 carries while quarterback Matt Barkley completed 14-of-20 passes for 186 yards.
Washington had even less trouble with the Trojans defense, though, finishing with a season high 536 yards. Jake Locker threw for 310 yards and one touchdown and he led the team in rushing with 110 yards on 12 carries.
Stanford also fell to 4-1 after losing 31-52 to Oregon at Autzen Stadium. The Cardinal led 21-3 in the first quarter after two touchdown passes for Andrew Luck, but it could not sustain its momentum in the second half. Stanford scored just 10 points after the break while the Ducks offense rolled to 28 post-halftime points.
Oregon finished the game with 31 first downs and 626 total yards, tallies which exceeded the Cardinal season averages for points and yards per game allowed by 30.6 and 296 respectively.
USC has won six of the last eight in this rivalry series; however, the Cardinal are 2-1 in the last three, including a 55-21 beat down last season at the Coliseum. Luck threw for 144 yards and two scores in that shellacking and he also rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown on just seven carries.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Cardinal are 4-1 straight up and against the spread over the last five years playing as a home favorite coming off a road loss (average margin of victory 28.8 points).
