Florida vs LSU College Football Predictions, College Football Odds & College Football Picks: The Florida Gators and the LSU Tigers meet at 8:00pm tonight at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for an SEC battle royale. The stakes are high, as usual, as both teams come in to the contest with undefeated records. The question, however, concerning Gators quarterback Tim Tebow is still out there. He is currently being called a game time decision. Even with Mr. Florida's status uncertain, odds makers at Sportsbetting.com feel that Urban Meyer's squad has what it takes to get the job done. College Football Predictions at the online bookmaker have Florida installed as a -7.5 against the spread road favorite.
Florida enters tonight's meeting with the Tigers with a 4-0 overall mark and 2-0 conference record. The Gators did not play
last weekend, but they pummeled the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington on September 26th by a score of 41-7. The game was never close as Florida had a 316 yard edge and posted 14 more first downs than Kentucky. The Gators also out rushed the Wildcats 362 to 86 as Tim Tebow carried the ball 16 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns. He completed 5-of-10 passes for 103 yards and a score before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a concussion.
If Tebow is unable to go he will be replaced by sophomore quaterback John Brantley. Brantley was 4-for-6 for 30 yards in relief of Tebow against the Wildcats. He also threw an eight yard touchdown strike to Riley Cooper with 6:39 seconds left in the game.
LSU advanced their record to 4-0 in dramatic fashion last week, scoring a 20-13 win over the Georgia Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium in Athens. The Dawgs took a 13-12 lead with just 1:09 left in regualtion when Joe Cox connected with A.J. Green for a 16 yard touchdown. All looked lost for the Tigers, but a 40 yard return by Trindon Holliday on the ensuing kickoff left the Tigers within striking distance. It took Les Miles' squad all of two plays to find paydirt as running back Charles Green ran off tackle for a 33 yard touchdown.
The win preserved the Tigers No. 4 ranking as well as their top spot in the SEC West. It also shook their reputation as overrated ballclub.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Gators are 4-1 against the spread in their last five meetings with LSU, but they are just 2-3 straight up. They (Gators) are a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five in Baton Rouge, despite their 3-2 straight up mark. LSU, however, is 4-1 against the spread and straight in their last five games as a home dog with a spread between 4 and 7.5.
