College Football Rankings Week 7: As we all know by now, there is a new No. 1 in Division 1 FBS football and that is Ohio State. The Buckeyes were able to move into the top spot after they were obliged by South Carolina in knocking off previous No. 1 Alabama on Saturday (Oct. 9) down in Columbia. On Sunday, both AP and USA-Today/Coaches college football polls voted the Buckeyes No. 1, followed by Oregon and Boise State. The AP has TCU at No. 4 and Nebraska at No. 5, while the USA-Today/Coaches Poll ranks Nebraska No. 4 and TCU No. 5.
Now that they're on top, the Buckeyes will have a big bulls-eye on their backs. So we'll see how they fare in Week-7 on national ESPN television when they travel to play No. 20 Wisconsin in the hostile venue of Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Some sportsbooks already have Ohio State lined as a 6-point favorite in that one.

In other Week-7 top five action, Boise State is not expected to have any trouble when they travel to play San Jose State as 39-point favorites. TCU welcomes BYU into Fort Worth while Nebraska hosts Texas.
Both polls agree on Oklahoma at No 6 followed by Auburn, Alabama and LSU. The AP has South Carolina moving up to 10th while the USA-Today/Coaches poll ranks Utah No. 10 followed by Michigan State at No. 11. The AP has Utah No. 11 in its poll.
Arkansas drops one spot in the AP to No. 12 while they're 13 behind South Carolina in the USA-Today/Coaches Poll. Michigan State is at No. 13 in the AP Poll. Stanford is No. 14 in the AP and 15 in the Coaches while Iowa is No. 14 in the Coaches.
In their 16-20 rankings, the AP has Florida State at 16 followed by Arizona, Wisconsin, Nevada and Oklahoma State. The USA-Today/Coaches Poll has Wisconsin at 16, followed by Florida State, Oklahoma State, Missouri and Arizona.
Rounding out the top-25, the AP rankes Missouri 21st, followed by Florida, Air Force, Oregon State and West Virginia. The USA-Today/Coaches poll ranks Nevada No. 21 ahead of Florida, Air Force, Michigan and West Virginia.
