Central Florida improved to 3-2 last Wednesday with a 42-7 destruction of CUSA foe UAB at BH Networks Stadium in 
Orlando. The Knights, which are 1-0 in conference play after taking out the Blazers, dominated the game with a punishing rushing attack that accounted for 228 of the team's 399 yards.
Quarterback Jeffrey Godfrey led the charge, completing 9-of-11 passes for 137 yards while rushing for 80 yards on nine carries. The true freshman signal caller has completed 68.9 percent of his passes this season and he is rushing for over 56 yards per game.
UCF's defense, which ranks ninth in the nation in yards per game allowed (265.2), held the Blazers to 16 first downs and 269 total yards in the victory.
Marshall enters tomorrow's game with a 1-4 overall record and 0-1 CUSA tally. The Thundering Herd have played their two best games at home, though, losing 21-24 to West Virginia in overtime on September 10th and beating Ohio 24-23 in Huntington on the 25th.
Doc Holliday's squad lost its last game 16-41 at Southern Miss after the Eagles went into the break with a 28-0 lead. The Herd scored just one offensive touchdown in the loss, which came on a six yard pass with just under six minutes left in the game. Marshall finished the divisional battle with 11 first downs and 170 total yards.
UCF has won five in a row over Marshall and covered in five of its last six games against the Thundering Herd. The Knights five game against the spread streak against Marshall came to an end last year in Orlando when they won the game 21-20 as a seven point favorite.
