Arkansas State vs Louisiana-Monroe College Football Picks, College Football Odds & College Football Predictions: Two Sun Belt rivals will square off before a national television audience tonight in Monroe, Louisiana. The Arkansas State Red Wolves will challenge the Warhawks of Louisiana-Monroe at Malone Stadium in an 8:00pm ET tilt on ESPN2. The Red Wolves can start to get their season turned around tonight with a win, which would move them to 2-3 and 1-1 in conference play. Arkansas State dropped their first Sun Belt game of the season, losing to league favorite Troy 27-30 on September 26th. Steve Roberts squad last played on October 3rd when they fell 21-24 at Iowa.

The Wolves showed well against the No. 11 ranked Hawkeyes, but ultimately the more talented team won. State posted a total of 296 yards, 17 first downs, and seven third down conversions. Quarterback Corey Leonard had a respectable showing, completing 22-of-40 passes for 216 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Senior running back Reggie Arnold, who has totaled at least 1000 yards rushing in his first three years at ASU, carried the ball 10 times for 42 yards.

Arnold accumulated 71 of the Red Wolves 262 rush yards in last year's 37-29 victory over Louisiana-Monroe. 

Roberts is anticipating another good game with the Warhawks this evening, and he feels confident his team can draw from the winning experience it has had in Monroe.

"The teams play well, whether we play here or down there," Roberts said. "We have won down there before."

Louisiana-Monroe improved to 3-2 and 2-0 in conference action on September 26th, beating Florida International 48-35 in Miami. The Warhawks offense, despite not scoring in the first quarter, overwhelmed the Golden Panthers with 31 first downs and 577 total yards. Charlie Weatherbie's squad maintained good balance, posting 304 rush and 273 pass yards in route to their third 45 plus point game. Quarterback Trey Revell completed 19-of-35 passes for 273 yards and two touchdowns. The junior passer also rushed 18 times for 59 yards and a touchdown. 

Complimenting Revell's effort was junior running back Frank Goodwin, who carried the ball 19 times for 163 yards and three scores.

Tonight's contest could be critical to the Warhawks league title hopes as their next three games are all on the road. ULM has a non-conference meeting with Kentucky, followed by clashes with Sun Belt foes Troy and North Texas. 

College Football Picks Betting Trend: Louisiana-Monroe is 0-7 straight up and against the spread in their last seven games as a home favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5. Arkansas State is 3-0 straight up and against the spread playing as an underdog to Louisiana-Monroe.
