The Spartans are off to their usual lackluster start, going 2-4 through the first six weeks of play; however, other than a totaHawaii vs San Jose State Spread 2011 CFB Predictions Week 7l beatdown by Stanford in the season opener, SJS has avoided being blown out.

That could be considered progress for second year head coach Mike MacIntyre and his squad, and it might have them believing in their chances against Hawaii tomorrow night. The Warriors have long been a thorn in the Spartans side, winning nine of the 10 games between the two teams since the 2001 season.

San Jose State did snap a seven game Hawaii win streak in the series with a 20-17 at Aloha Stadium in 2008, but the Warriors secured the upper hand again with a 17-10 win in '09. Last year Hawaii dominated a depleted Spartans team 41-7.

The Warriors certainly have more momentum coming into this contest, having won back-to-back games over UC Davis and Louisiana Tech. The two wins were a much needed elixir after the team suffered a surprising loss at UNLV. San Jose State comes home after road games at Colorado State and BYU, which it split with a 38-31 win over Rams and a 29-16 loss to the Cougars. Get $50 in Free CFB Picks Here.

Statisically, Hawaii is the far superior team this season, ranking 25th in points per game (37.2) and 69th in points per game allowed (27.4). SJS ranks 99th and 92nd in points per game and points per game allowed, respectively.

Unless the Warriors turn the ball over two plus times, they will earn another win over their WAC rival. The Spartans simply do not have enough horses on offense to keep pace with Hawaii.
