Robert Griffin III and his Baylor Bears suffered an unexpected setback two weekends ago when they fell 36-35 to the 
Kansas State Wildcats in Manhattan, Kansas. The Bears moved the ball up and down the field for the first three quarters of that contest, but they failed to find the end zone in the final frame, allowing to K-State to overcome a nine point third quarter deficit.
Baylor left nothing to chance last weekend, improving its record to 4-1 with an easy win and cover against the Iowa State Cyclones in Waco. The Bears took the game 49-26 thanks to another tremendous performance from Griffin, who threw for 212 yards and rushed for 107 more, and an outstanding 200 yard, three touchdown effort from senior running back Terrance Ganaway. Griffin and his offensive cohorts figure to enjoy similar success against the Aggies tomorrow given A&M's poor defensive performance through five weeks of play. Mike Sherman's squad currently ranks 65th in points and 99th in yards per game allowed this season, giving up an average of 27.2 and 424.4 respectively.
Texas A&M (3-2), which rebounded from back-to-back losses to Oklahoma State and Arkansas with a 45-40 win at Texas Tech last weekend, will probably get its share against Baylor's defense as well. The Aggies have had no trouble posting big yardage and point totals with quarterback Ryan Tannehill leading the offense, but the Bears have experienced problems keeping their opposition out of the end zone (28.2 points per game allowed).
If A&M loses this game, its season and Sherman's job are in jeopardy, for those two reasons the Aggies get a win over the high powered Bears. A cover, though, at 8.5 points, may be more difficult for A&M to secure.
