USC vs Notre Dame College Football Odds, College Football Predictions & College Football Picks: The USC Trojans and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will meet this Saturday as their annual clash finds its way to South Bend, Indiana. Both teams enter the classic matchup with 4-1 records and a Top 25 ranking in the AP Poll. The game is set to get underway at 3:30pm ET on NBC. USC ran its record to 4-1 this past Saturday after recording its second straight win over a Pac-10 opponent. The No. 6 Trojans destroyed the Cal Golden Bears in Berkeley by a score of 30-3 after posting 475 total yards and holding the ball for 36:46. USC's defense, which is holding opponents to an average of 8.6 points per game this season, limited the Bears to 285 yards of offense and held Heisman candidate Jahvid Best to 47 yards in 14 carries.

Head Coach Pete Carroll, despite his Trojans defensive prowess, seemed worried about the potential problems that Jimmy Clausen and the Irish passing game will pose to his squad.

"Clausen's on it," Carroll said. "He's finding receivers. They're protecting him well. He's keeping the negative plays down. Only two picks in all the plays he's made so far. These guys are loaded."

Notre Dame won its third straight game last weekend and found its way back into the Top 25 as a result. The Irish needed overtime in South Bend against the Washington Huskies, which happen to be the only team to get by USC this year, but finally prevailed 37-30. The win streak has hardly been composed of dominating victories, but the narrow margins have certainly lent an air of confidence to Charlie Weis' troops. The coach inidicted as much when commenting about Saturday's game with USC.

"I'd say this is probably the first time since I've been here where the players really believe they're going to win [against the Trojans]," Weis said. "They might be in the minority but they certainly believe that."

College Football Odds Betting Trend: The Over is 5-0 in the Trojans last five games as a road favorite with a spread between 8 and 10.5. USC is also 4-1 straight up in those contests.
