Missouri vs Texas A&M 2010 College Football Odds, 2010 College Football Picks & 2010 College Football Predictions: The Texas A&M will attempt to lasso its first conference win of the season when it hosts the undefeated Missouri Tigers tomorrow in College Station. The Big 12 showdown is slated for a 12:00pm ET kickoff at historic Kyle Field. 2010 College Football Odds, Picks & Predictions at Sportsbook.com have the Aggies listed as a -3.5 against the spread home favorite; the Over/Under is set at 57.5.
No. 21 Missouri worked its record to a perfect 5-0 last weekend, shutting out Big 12 North rival Colorado 26-0 in Columbia.
The Tigers, which have been characterized by an explosive spread attack in recent seasons, were sloppy at times on offense in dispatching the Buffaloes, but they did finish the game with a modest 345 yards.
Quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who suffered a hip pointer late in the game, completed 17-of-29 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the shutout. Backup James Franklin threw for 35 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in relief of Gabbert; he also led the team in rushing with 37 yards on four carries.
Missouri's defense, which ranks behind only Iowa and TCU in points per game allowed this season, held Colorado to 18 first downs, 311 yards, and a 2.3 yards per carry average in procuring its first shutout since 2008 (also against the Buffaloes, 58-0).
Texas A&M began the season 3-0 after beating Stephen F. Austin, Louisiana Tech, and Florida International, but the Aggies are now 3-2 after losing back-to-back games to Oklahoma State and Arkansas. Mike Sherman's troops took it on the chin 24-17 last weekend in Dallas against the Razorbacks.
Jerrod Johnson, who has tossed nine picks on the season, did keep the interceptions to a minimum, throwing just one, but his 38 percent completion percentage and 212 yards were not enough to turnback Arkansas.
The Aggies defense gave up 442 yards and three passing touchdowns to the Ryan Mallett led Razorbacks.
These two conference rivals are 3-3 in their last six games, but the Tigers have won three of the last four, including a 40-26 victory in their last meeting (November, 2007). The Aggies beat Missouri 25-19 as one point home dog the last time they played in College Station, though.
College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Over is 9-4 over the last five years when Missouri has played as a road team coming off a home win.
