Oklahoma vs Texas College Football Predictions, College Football Odds & College Football Picks: The Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners will renew the Red River Rivalry (formerly the Red River Shootout) tomorrrow at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The two schools have been playing since 1900, and the game usually has something on the line for one or both of the teams. This time it is the Longhorns with the most to lose as they are 5-0 and ranked No. 3 in the latest polls. Kickoff is set for 12:00pm ET on ABC. College Football Predictions at Sportsbetting.com have the Sooners listed as a +3 against the spread dog.Oklahoma vs Texas College Football Predictions, Odds & Picks

Last year Texas handed the Sooners their only regular season loss, beating Oklahoma 45-35 at the Cotton Bowl. The deciding factor in that game was, surprisingly, the Longhorns ability to move the ball on the ground (161 yards, 4.6 yards per carry) while shutting down OU's two back attack (48 rush yards, 1.8 yards per carry).

Sooners defensive tackle Gerald McCoy indicated that his team has not forgotten how they lost that game and they have rehashed it several times in order to avoid another disappointment.

"We look at tape of last year all the time and we remember the mistakes we made and the things we didn't do to win the game," McCoy said. "We know we have to change those this year."

The Sooners will have quarterback Sam Bradford under center for tomorrow's big game, a reality that was anything but certain a couple of weeks ago. The Heisman Trophy winner returned to the lineup last week in a 33-7 win over Baylor in Norman; it was his first action since injuring his throwing shoulder in Oklahoma's season opening loss to BYU. He completed 27-of-49 passes for 389 yards and a touchdown in the easy victory.

Bradford's presence is critical to the Sooners' success going forward because, while the BCS Championship appears to be out of reach with Oklahoma sitting at 3-2, the Big 12 Championship is not. A win over Texas and Bob Stoops' squad could be headed for a fourth straight Big 12 title.

Texas enters tomorrow's clash with BCS aspirations still alive, sitting at 5-0 and No. 3 in the AP Poll. The Longhorns are 2-0 in conference play after beating Colorado 38-14 last weekend in Austin. And, while the score looked respectable enough, the performance apparantly was not as Mack Brown's team fell one spot in the rankings.

Quarterback Colt McCoy, a Heisman finalist last year and a candidate this season, completed 32-of-39 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Buffaloes. McCoy has a stellar quarterback rating of 149.15; however, it is down from last season's 173.75. The 23 year old has thrown 10 touchdowns passes (six interceptions), which puts him on pace for 24, a number 10 short of his total from a season ago.

Despite the big time quarterbacks and the offensive reputations that these two teams possess, this game will, most likely, come down to defense. The Longhorns are allowing a mere 15 points and 233 yards per game while Oklahoma is giving up just 8.6 points and 256 yards per contest.

Earlier this week Brown expressed surspise at the number of points put up in last year's Red River meeting. He indicated that improvments on defense may lead to a lower score this year.

"This year I think both defenses are better than they were last year," Brown said. "I know ours is better than it was last year and I think theirs is better."

College Football Predictions Betting Trend: The Sooners are 6-1 against the spread and straight up in their last six games as an underdog with a spread between 0 and 3.5.
