Texas Tech vs. Nebraska College Football Picks: The unranked Texas Tech Red Raiders football team will travel to Lincoln, Neb., to play the No. 15 ranked (AP) Nebraska Cornhuskers in a Big 12 North/South battle at Memorial Stadium with kickoff set for 3:30 pm ET. After posting its first Big 12 win of the season at home against Kansas State, the Red Raiders head back out on the road in search of their first road victory of the 2009 season.

Texas Tech has dropped its last four contests on the road, including the 2009 AT&T Cotton Bowl against Ole Miss. Tech's last road win was at No. 19 Kansas on Oct. 25 of last season. Since that 63-21 win over the Jayhawks, Tech has fallen at No. 5 Oklahoma, vs. No. 20 Ole Miss (Cotton Bowl), No. 2 Texas and No. 17 Houston.  Texas Tech's last five road trips have been at ranked opponents (Kansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas and Houston) and with No. 15 Nebraska on tap this weekend, that will make it six in a row for the Red Raiders. The last time Tech faced an unranked opponent on the road was last season at Texas A&M (43-25 Tech win).

The Nebraska Cornhuskers overcame a driving rain storm in Columbia, Mo., on Thursday evening to log a 27-12 come-from-behind win over the Tigers. The Husker win snapped a two-game losing skid to the Tigers and gave Nebraska its 33rd league opening win in the last 35 years. Nebraska scored all 27 of its points in the fourth quarter to improve to 4-1 overall and to 1-0 in the Big 12. The win vaulted the Huskers up six spots (from No. 21) to No. 15 in the AP poll on Sunday morning.

Texas Tech pounded Kansas State 66-14 at Jones AT&T Stadium  in Lubbock, Texas in Week 6. The Red Raiders covered as a 16.5-point home favorite while the final score played over the 54.5-point total.

Nebraska scored all their points in the fourth quarter as they rallied for a 27-12 victory over Missouri in Week 6. Nebraska covered the 4-point spread, while the combined score went UNDER the posted total of 50. Zac Lee threw for 158 yards with three touchdowns to lead the way in that win for the Cornhuskers.

Current betting trends show 96% of early moneyline wagers going on the underdog Red Raiders while 54% of side bets ATS have been wagered on the Huskers. The OVER is the choice of 58% of public gamblers on the 59 total.
