The Florida International Golden Panthers are venturing into uncharted waters after winning three games in a row. The Panthers are now 3-3 and have exceeded their win total from the past two seasons combined. This weekend the Troy Trojans will host FIU and the winner could sit alone atop the Sun Belt conference standings.

College football betting odds at Looselines.com are favoring the Trojans at -9.5.Florida International vs Troy Betting Odds

Florida International finished last season with a 1-11 record, their only win coming in the final week  against North Texas. This year has been a different story as Head Coach Mario Cristobal has his team in a good position despite the team's 0-3 start. FIU returned 18 starters and their experience has paid obvious dividends as they are 2-0 in conference play.

Last week the Panthers beat Middle Tennessee State 31-21 by holding the Blue Raiders to 243 yards of total offense. FIU has won by an average of 20.33 the last three weeks and forced a combined eight turnovers.

Troy, typically the class of the Sun Belt conference, is currently 3-2 and coming off a three game road stretch. The Trojans are also 2-0 in conference play and are averaging 32 points per game.

Troy's starting quarterback, Jamie Hampton, is likely done for the season after suffering a knee injury. He will not be in action against Florida International on Saturday.

College Football Betting Odds: Troy is 4-0 straight up the last five years coming off an against the spread win.
