College Football Odds Week 8: The college football season has now taken on a definite conference feel as the league races heat up and teams start jostling for position with the month of November looming rather large. Two pivotal conference games, among the many, that bare keeping an eye on this weekend are battles between Georgia Tech and Virginia in the ACC and TCU and BYU in the Mountain West. For the latest point spreads in these two contests and all of the College Football Odds Week 8, visit online bookmaker SBGglobal.com today. Georgia Tech vs Virginia (+4): Did anyone expect the Cavaliers to be leading the ACC Coastal division this late in the College Football Odds Week 8 Betting Trend: The Cavaliers are 8-2 against the spread and 7-3 straight up in their last 10 games as a home dog with a spread between 4 and 7.5. Georgia Tech is 1-5 against the spread and 0-6 straight up in their last six games at Virginia. BYU vs TCU (-2): This game is, perhaps, the biggest of the weekend considering the BCS busting implications it holds for the tenth ranked Horned Frogs. The Cougars are the biggest challenge left on TCU's schedule and, most likely, the only thing standing between the Frogs and an undefeated season. As far as the conference standings go, this game will probably decide the Mountain West winner. BYU is currently in first place with a 3-0 league record, but TCU would take over the top spot with a win. Utah, which is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference, could have a say in all this, but the Utes still have away games against both TCU and BYU on the schedule. College Football Odds Week 8 Betting Trend: TCU is 3-0 straight up but 0-3 against the spread in their last three games as a road favorite versus Mountain West teams in the month of October. However, TCU is 8-2 against the spread and straight up in their last 10 games playing as a favorite with a spread between 0 and 3.5. season? Probably not, but Al Groh's troops find themselves atop the standings with a 2-0 conference record entering Saturday's meeting with the Yellow Jackets. Granted, those two wins have come against an overrated Tar Heels team and a struggling Maryland squad, but they are wins nonetheless. The Cavaliers could make a major statement with a victory against No. 11 Georgia Tech, which is coming off a huge win over Virginia Tech. Conversely, the Yellow Jackets would certainly be in the driver's seat in the ACC with a win against Virginia. They are 6-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play and they have already made it through the most difficult portion of their schedule. If they beat Virginia, their biggest concern will be Miami, a team they lost to back in September. The Hurricanes are 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play and could easily win the remainder of their games. Obviously, the Canes would beat the Yellow Jackets out in a tie breaker scenario.
