Tuesday's contest is just the teams' second meeting ever and first meeting in Philadelphia. In the only schools only meeting last fall, the lights were not shining on Temple at Athens, Ohio as the Owls saw their three-game win streak come to a halt with a 23-7 defeat at the hands of the host Bobcats in a crucial Mid-American Conference East Division clash.

Under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Frank Solich, the Ohio Bobcats stand 2-5 overall and 1-2 in the MAC after claiming their first win in MAC play with a 26-19 victory at Kent State.

Ohio returns 17 starters to its multiple offense and 4-3 defense. Redshirt freshman RB Donte Harden is the Bobcats' top rusher with 454 yards and two touchdowns on 87 carries. Three different quarterbacks have seen game action thus far, led by junior Boo Jackson who has completed 101-of-173 for 1,337 yards and nine touchdowns. In the air, junior WR Taylor Price had 27 receptions for 370 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, sophomore LB Noah Keller has 32 tackles, 21 solos, a sack, and an interception.

Temple returns 21 starters this season and the top defense in the Mid American Conference. Bruce Francis is the Owls' top receiver with 24 catches for 313 yards and a team-best six touchdowns. Freshman RB Joe Jones leads the Owl rushers with 177 yards and a touchdown on 66 carries. Redshirt freshman Chester Stewart has completed 53-of-106 for 524 yards and four touchdowns in five games. Redshirt senior QB Adam  DiMichele has completed 51-of-85 for 620 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, sophomore DB Jaiquawn Jarrett has 52 tackles, including 29 solos, and a team-best two fumble recoveries and an interception.

Senior RB Kalvin MacRae and freshman RB Vince Davidson led the Bobcats. MacRae carried 25 times for 151 yards and one touchdown while Davidson rushed for his first collegiate score, a 22-yarder that gave Ohio a 20-7 lead with 43 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

How Temple performs offensively will depend on if DiMichele returns following his shoulder injury sustained against Penn State. Coach Al Golden said if DiMichele is ready he will play.

The Owls will utilize their East Coast offense and 4-3 defense. The Owls lead the nation in kickoff returns with 29.92 yards per return.
