Boston College vs Notre Dame College Football Picks, College Football Predictions & College Football Odds: Boston College will be after its fourth win in its last five games when the Eagles meet the Fighting Irish this Saturday in South Bend. Notre Dame will be attempting to rebound from a difficult loss to Southern California when they square off against the rival Catholic school. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm ET at Notre Dame Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on NBC. College Football Picks at BetUS.com have the Irish listed as a -8 against the spread home favorite. Boston College improved to 5-2 and assumed the top spot in the ACC Atlantic division last weekend with a 52-20 pounding Freshman quarterback Dave Shinskie managed a decent game, completing 13-of-25 passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns, but it was running back Montel Harris that spurred the offensive outburst. Harris, who operated out of a Wildcat or, as BC likes to call it, Bazooka formation on numerous occasions, set school records by rushing for 264 yards (9.8 yards per carry) and scoring five touchdowns. Harris maintained after the game that the BC offense is capable of performing at a high level week-in and week-out, but only if they avoid being distracted. "The biggest thing is focus," Harris said. "We have to stay focused." Regardless of how Eagles' preparations go this week, Harris can be certain he has drawn the focus of the Irish defense. Notre Dame has, no doubt, had to summon some extra gumption this week in order to get past last Saturday's loss to USC in South Bend. The Irish fought hard to the end, but were unable to score a late win like they have so many times this season. The Trojans came away with a 34-27 victory after Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen fired an incomplete pass into the endzone as the final seconds ticked off the clock. The Irish moved the ball well against USC's vaunted defense, posting 27 first downs and 367 yards, but they could not slow down the Trojans offense. USC finished the game with 501 yards, 380 of which came through the air. Despite how the USC game turned out, Head Coach Charlie Weis indicated he is not worried about the team being ready to play against the Eagles. "There's no question in mind that we'll come out fighting again like we have been," Weis said. "How can you come out flat when you are playing a team that just beat you six times in a row? That would be tough to do. We'll come out fighting again." College Football Picks Betting Trend: BC is 4-1 against the spread and straight up since 2004 playing as a +7 to +9.5 road dog coming off a home win. of North Carolina State at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The Eagles offense, which has been just a little bit hit and miss this season, showed up in spades, racking up 20 first downs and 480 total yards against the Wolfpack.
