Rutgers vs Army College Football Odds, College Football Picks & College Football Predictions: The Black Knights will meet the Scarlet Knights tomorrow night in a Friday evening ESPN2 special. Army will play host to Rutgers at Michie Stadium in West Point, New York as the two struggling squads look to rebound from losses. The game is set to kick off at 8:00pm ET. College Football Odds at Bodog.com have the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers listed as a -10 against the spread road favorite.

Rutgers had a four game win streak snapped last Friday night as conference rival Pittsburgh came into Piscataway, New Jersey and beat Greg Schiano's troops 24-17. The Panthers ran roughshod over the Knights defense, racking up 223 yards on the ground at 4.8 yards per carry. They also had 21 first downs and converted 10-of-17 of their third down opportunities. Prior to the loss against Pittsburgh, the Knights had played extremely well against the run, but against far inferior competition.

The Scarlet Knights offense had little success against Pitt's defense, amassing a meager 286 yards and just 16 first downs. True freshman quarterback Tim Savage and senior wideout Tim Brown were the only bright spots for Rutgers. Savage completed 23-of-39 passes for 248 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Brown hauled in seven passes for 96 yards and one score.

Rutgers also had two turnovers in the loss, and Schiano indicated those plays along with a few others doomed his team to failure.

"There are eight plays from the game the other night I didn't think were induced by the performance of the team," Sciano said. "We just didn't do what we were supposed to do." 

Army can certainly relate to that sentiment after last weekend's loss at Temple. The Black Knights fell to 3-4 after a mistake prone effort (one turnover and 14 penalties) resulted in a 13-27 defeat at the hands of the Owls. Temple also did its part to frustrate Army, limiting Rich Ellerson's squad to 256 yards and just one conversion in 11 third down situations. The Owls also did a great deal of damage on special teams, returning four kicks for 109 yards.

The Black Knights defense did play well, though, holding Temple to 195 total yards and a 2.1 yards per carry average. They will need a similar defensive effort tomorrow night to overcome Rutgers.

College Football Odds Betting Trend: Army is 2-8 against the spread and 1-9 straight up in its last 10 games as a home underdog.
