College Football Point Spreads 2011 Week 9: The college football season's biggest showdown is slated for next Saturday when No. 1 LSU travels to Tuscaloosa to face No. 2 Alabama; however, that does not mean this weekend is devoid of quality, top-tier match ups. Among the biggest games on the week nine schedule are conference clashes between No. 9 Michigan State and No. 13 Nebraska, No. 11 Oklahoma and No. 10 Kansas State, and No. 4 Stanford and No. 20 USC.

Michigan State Spartans vs Nebraska Cornhuskers (-4): Michigan State just prevailed over a team (Wisconsin) that College Football Point Spreads 2011 Week 9embarrassed Nebraska 48-17 on October 1, but finishes against a common opponent can sometimes be deceiving. The Cornhuskers, for one, get the Spartans in Lincoln, an opportunity they were not afforded against the Badgers. The Spartans have only played two road games this season, but they have proven in those outings that their offense does not travel well. Michigan State is averaging 29.3 points per game on the season, but it has scored a total of 23 points away from home. Nebraska's offense, with the exception of the game at Camp Randall, has been solid at all locations; however, the Huskers have been more potent in Lincoln where they are averaging 41.8 points per game. Oklahoma Sooners vs Kansas State Wildcats (+13.5): What does Kansas State need to do to earn a little respect from the odds makers? Maybe a win over Oklahoma this Saturday will do the trick. The Wildcats won four straight games as a dog to finally earn favored status against a woeful Kansas team, but even then the number was an utterly disrespectful 10 to 11 points. Bill Synder's troops showed just how ridiculous the line was by rewarding their backers with a 59-21 road victory. The Sooners look like the more talented team, the faster team, and after a stunning home loss to Texas Tech on Saturday, the more desperate team in this conference clash, but going against Synder and his Wildcats just seems foolish at this point.
