The No. 10 (BCS) University of South Florida football team (6-1, 1-1 BIG EAST) will have first place in the BIG EAST on its mind as it travels to league-leading No. 23 UConn on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. ET game on ABC. USF is coming off its first loss of the season, a 30-27 defeat at the hands of Rutgers. UConn defeated Louisville, 21-17, in Hartford.
The Bulls dropped nine spots in the AP rankings to 11th after the defeat to Rutgers on Oct. 18. They had never been in the Top 25 before this season and reaching No. 2 created talk about potentially playing for the national title in January.
