Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt is doing his level best to cool off what is, by all accounts, a rather 
hot seat. Some have even suggested that should Richt's Bulldogs lose today's game with the Gators that he will not be the coach at Georgia next season.
Fortunately for Richt he brings the better team into this matchup. The Bulldogs opened the season with back-to-back losses to Boise State and division rival South Carolina, but they preserved their SEC East title chances by bouncing back from those two setbacks with five straight wins.
Georgia's defense, which ranks sixth in the nation in yards per game allowed (273.6), should be able to fight off what has become a toothless Gators offense. Florida opened the season with a 4-0 record while averaging an impressive 40.3 points per game, but since the injury to quarterback John Brantley, who may return for today's game, the Gators have fallen off a cliff.
Florida has dropped its last three games against Alabama, LSU, and Auburn and it scored a total of 27 points in those losses. Granted, Alabama and LSU have shut down almost every offense they have faced, but the Bulldogs defense is better than Auburn's unit and not too far behind what the Tide and Tigers field.
This may not be a route, but Georgia should easily cover the three point spread and thus preserve Richt's job until the next big game.
