Southern Mississippi vs Houston College Football Picks Predictions: Conference USA rivals Southern Miss and Houston will meet tomorrow afternoon at Robertson Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Cougars will look to stay on top in the West division with a win over the Golden Eagles when things kickoff at 1:00pm ET. Southern Mississippi snapped a three game skid on October 17th beating Memphis 36-13 in Tennessee. Houston quarterback Case Keenum has thrown for 2734 yards and 20 touchdowns (four interceptions). Southern Miss, though, should be able to move the ball on the Cougars defense. The Eagles average 197.8 yards per game on the ground, an area where Houston relinquishes an average of 219 per contest. Eagles built on that effort last weekend, pounding Tulane 43-6 in Hattiesburg to move to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in Conference USA action. They are currently tied for second with Marshall in the East division; both squads are a game back of first place East Carolina. A win against Houston could be critical for Southern Mississippi's chances to win the conference, but if they lose, they will have the opportunity to redeem themselves with Marshall, Tulsa, and ECU filling out their schedule.
