No. 11 Georgia Tech ran its record to 7-1 last weekend, slaughtering ACC rival Virginia in Charlottesville 34-9. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Yellow Jackets and it further secured their first place standing in the Coastal division (5-1 conference record). The Duke Blue Devils are in second place, but their 2-1 league record and 4-3 overall tally make them a distant speck in Tech's review mirror. Paul Johnson's Jackets should coast to the division title with Wake Forest, Duke, and Georgia rounding out their schedule.

Vanderbilt has been a mere speed bump for its recent compeitition, losing four straight to fall to 2-6 overall and 0-5 in SEC play. The Commodores winless conference record has relegated them to the SEC East cellar with little hope of climbing out. Surprisingly, Vandy put up a good fight last weekend, almost getting the win in Columbia, South Carolina; however, they ultimately fell 10-14 to the Gamecocks. Next week the Commodores face the Florida Gators before closing out the season against Kentucky and Tennessee.

The Commodores only chance in this game is to slow down the Yellow Jackets rushing attack. While Vandy's defense has respectable numbers (17.8 points and 321.3 yards per game allowed) they have been weak against the run, giving up 165.4 yards per game on the ground.  

College Football Predictions Picks Betting Trend: Georgia Tech is 6-1 against the spread and 7-0 straight up in its last seven games as a road favorite with a spread between 47.5 and 51.
